They say there are only
two kinds of Indians –
those who love cricket,
and those who are
passionate about it. For
a nation that has so
much passion for the
game, spends so much
time and energy on it,
and has so much money
riding on it, India
ought to have a ‘cricket
school’ in every city.
Unfortunately, there
aren’t many in the
country; fortunately
there is abundant
cricketing talent and
loads of passion to
excel at the game. If
you are reading this
because you have a
child, or know of a
child with the mettle to
be a future Tendulkar,
Dhoni or Kumble, ACA
might just be what
you’ve been looking for.
A cricketer’s journey
from a 'potential
cricketer' to a
'successful cricketer'
passes through expert
coaches, top cricketers
in the world, facilities
and infrastructure
matching international
levels, and a reliable
emotional and mental
support system that
allows him to bloom as
an accomplished
sportsman. For every
budding cricketer that
needs a 'guru', and
surely all of them do,
ACA will fulfill this
responsibility.
The National School
of Cricket - a
venture of Abhimanyu
Cricket Academy - has
been envisioned to
become the foremost
nurturing grounds for
young and emerging
talent in the country.
Through these pages, let
me take you through this
academy, its aims, how
it plans to achieve
them, and introduce you
to the people behind it.
I would also like to
show you my ‘vision’ for
the NSC – one that makes
it what it is today and
what it will be
tomorrow. And as I share
my dreams with you, let
me also ask you to share
yours with me; and in
this process, lay the
foundations of an
institution that, I
know, will be the cradle
of world -class
cricketers.
